FAQ

Why don’t you have all your prices listed on your website?

We find that couples just looking for prices or even a “number”, aren’t necessarily the best fit for us. We completely understand budgets, but when a family contacts us excited about the quality of our work and all the moments captured like no other company, we want to get to know them! The more we know about the personalities and wedding plans of our couples, the more personalized your wedding film is. At that point, your wedding film is priceless. After a short phone call or in-studio meeting, we’d LOVE to go over our offerings and prices once we know each other a little bit. But if you do need a “number” to plan by, most of our families invest a minimum of $3500.

We love what we see, but can we see a FULL film?

Yes, of course! We think it’s very important for our potential couples to see a full length wedding film. We will send you a private link to a full length feature film so that you can view it and see for yourself the difference in our work compared to others and so that you will know exactly the value of what it is you are investing in. We encourage you NOT to book with other videographers you may be comparing us to until you see full videos of theirs as well. Even is you decide you like theirs better, at least you picked the right one for you instead of guessing of basing it just on price. You wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive, would you?”

How do we reserve our date?

It’s SIMPLE! Once you have picked us (the best), over the rest we can set up a contract meeting at our office (or over the phone or Facetime or Zoom for our out of town couples). We will go over the contract, answer any additional questions or concerns, sign the contract and get all of your wedding details. To secure your date we require a 20% deposit and then payment arrangements can be made to pay off the remainder! The final payment is due three weeks prior to the wedding date.

We don’t want a production made of our wedding day. How do you capture these moments without being in the way?

Honestly, we are a little bit selfish regarding our motives for NOT making your wedding day a “production” either. We simply can not afford for you or your guests to notice us too much. So please relax! Wedding videos, if chosen correctly, are the best investment you can make in your wedding. You’ll actually notice your photographer more than you’ll see us. We don’t take up a lot of your time and we don’t have cameras in anyone’s face. We certainly don’t conduct cheesy table interviews. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to get the “genuine” moments and the moments that you didn’t even know happened or remember happening! Please read up on our reviews on Wedding Wire to learn more about our couple’s experiences

Do you travel and what will it cost us?

We will go wherever you’ll have us! Our normal coverage (without any travel fees) extends from Jekyll Island to Palm Coast. If your wedding is outside of that area, it is not a problem. We will create a custom package to fit your needs.

We have a photographer as well. Do you work well with photographers?

The last thing we want to do is to be in your wedding photos! Therefore, we make it a point to call your photographer the week before your wedding if we have never worked with them. This allows us to ease the tensions that some photographers feel, and also establish a “team effort” mentality with the ones that understand this is your day. Since we do have our own unique style, we request a little time for our “creative session”. We aren’t the type that sits back and just “shoots what the photographer is shooting”. Still photo sessions make for great photos, but boring video! We “dance” with the photographer during major moments of the day so you never even notice we are there. Hopefully the photographers honor your wedding day enough to do the same for your video! Honestly, we have found that when we mesh well with our couple, they choose a photographer that represents that as well!

Do we get to pick our own music?

Yes, and no. You are hiring us to create a piece of “art” that represents you. Naturally if you are adamant about having that special Celine Dion song from 1998 in your film but it doesn’t fit the mood or feeling of your day, we aren’t doing our job. For couples that trust us to film their day, we send a quick questionnaire that answers all of our logistical and timeline questions about your wedding. Included are a few questions that ask specifically what some of your favorite songs are, and even your favorite artists or genres. We even ask you what music you hate! From that starting point, we actually seek out and find music off the beaten path, based on your preferences, you might not hear on the radio. That way your wedding film soundtrack not only reflects your style and taste, but is unique to your wedding.

How long does it take to get back our wedding film?

One thing that benefits you about having a full team of people like Take One Films, is that we are able to collaborate to perfect your wedding film and produce it faster for you. Our current turn around time is approximately 2-4 months, compared to a lot of other companies that take between 6-10 months. We want you to be able to relive the moments as soon as possible!

Do we get all the raw footage?

In addition to your Cinematic Film,  you can purchase separate videos that includes your FULL ceremony, toasts and first dances, no matter how long they may be. We use the collection of smaller and bigger moments of your day from the getting ready, to the arrival of all your guests, cocktail hour, creative session and the dancing at the party to create your “Feature Film”  Although we don’t exclude moments that we know you will want to see, we can provide you ALL the RAW unedited footage on an external USB Hard Drive at an additional cost

Just to forewarn you, this is RAW! You will see all of the camera movements, ceiling shoots and even the “running” with the camera on!
